That exhibit I wrote about in April that I thought was life-changing? Apparently not. I’ve hardly sketched since then. 

Until today. Jacaranda trees are in bloom all over the East Bay. (At least that’s what I think they are.)

I made an ink/watercolor sketch that really bombed, then tried the looser approach, above, with just watercolor. The quick sketch makes my heart happy.
