Orange and Red, Round Two

“Chicago Oranges and Reds”
Pen and watercolor, 11/25/18
8x8” Fluid watercolor paper, cold press

Another attempt at the stand of cannas and carpet of red begonias that I saw in September in Chicago.

Last time was pen and colored pencil with trees in the background; this time pen and watercolor with just sky in back. It is not quite there yet, though. I like that combination of the orange and red so much.  It may be worth another try. Perhaps gouache?
